Internet Pirates Want to Steal Your Personal Information
But you have the power to stop them. Take a look at a new consumer guide from the OCC that helps consumers prevent Internet "phishing."
The Federal Reserve is responsible for enforcing many federal laws that protect consumers in their dealings with the state-chartered banks that are members of the Federal Reserve System. These laws include the:
- Truth in Lending Act,
- Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) and
- Home Mortgage Disclosure Act (HMDA).
We want to assist customers who have encountered problems with banks. This section includes links to publications that:
- define the Fed's role in enforcing these laws,
- help financial services consumers research other important issues and
- describe how to file a consumer complaint.
