FFIEC HMDA Data Entry Software
The FFIEC's
HMDA Data Entry Software is one of the most commonly
used software products for collecting, editing and reporting
HMDA data. In this section, you'll see how the Reg C
amendments have been applied to the software's LAR data
entry screen.
After you've opened the prototype
of the LAR screen, you'll notice each category on
the screen corresponds to the data elements represented
on HMDA's loan/application register. Overall, the tasks
and functionality of the software have not changed from
previous versions.
Given the significant changes to the HMDA file specifications
required by the Reg C amendments, the 2004 release (Version
3.0) will not update previous releases of the software.
The version 3.0 release will install into its own directory.
Users should follow the installation directions with
the software. The software will be available for download
in December 2003.
