St. Louis Fed Connects CRA-Eligible Projects and Potential Funders
LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – The Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis is hosting a live Investment Connection event on Wednesday, July 24, to bring together nonprofit organizations and financial institutions interested in lending to and investing in projects within the Little Rock area that meet Community Reinvestment Act requirements.
Since its inception in November 2017, banks, CDFIs and foundations have committed more than $1.2 million in grants, loans, and investments to CRA-eligible projects in their communities, after being brought together through the Investment Connection program. Since the program started, 89 organizations responded to the program’s request for proposals, and of those, 49 presented their pitches live to more than 260 bankers and other funders.
At the Wednesday event, five non-profit organizations will pitch new and existing projects ranging from small business development and technical assistance to community facilities and services. The event will include speed networking, giving attendees the opportunity to ask questions and make connections for future discussions.
