St. Louis Fed Accepting Applications for 2024-25 Student Board of Directors
ST. LOUIS — The Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis is seeking local high school seniors to serve on its student board of directors for the 2024-25 school year. The student board of directors program offers high school seniors in the St. Louis area, including the Metro East, a dynamic way to learn about the nation's central bank.
Students will:
- Serve as ambassadors between area high schools and the St. Louis Fed.
- Gain a thorough understanding of the Federal Reserve's role in the U.S. economy.
- Discuss issues related to economics and personal finance.
- Develop soft skills that will help prepare them for college and careers.
- Participate in discussions with St. Louis Fed leaders on topics ranging from professional development to career planning and progression.
To be considered, students must be high school seniors during the 2024-25 academic year with a strong academic standing. They must also live within the St. Louis area and able to attend meetings at the St. Louis Fed before school. Students are selected based on the quality of their application answers and teacher recommendation questionnaire.
Applications are being accepted through 5 p.m. March 25, 2024.
