Small Re-Elected, Yarnell Elected to St. Louis Fed Board
St. Louis — Bradley W. Small, president and
chief executive officer of The Farmers and Merchants National Bank
in Nashville, Ill., has been re-elected to a three-year term on
the board of directors of the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis.
Small is also a member of the Community Bankers Association, the
Illinois Bankers Association, the American Bar Association, and
the Illinois State Bar Association.
A. Rogers Yarnell II, president of Yarnell Ice Cream Co. in Searcy,
Ark., has been elected to a three-year term on the St. Louis Fed's
board of directors. He previously served as a member of the board
of directors of the St. Louis Fed's Little Rock Branch. Yarnell
is also a member of the executive advisory board of the University
of Arkansas School of Business, a founding member of the marketing
council of the International Ice Cream Association, and a member
of the selection committee for the Arkansas Business Hall of Fame.
With branches in Little Rock, Louisville and Memphis, the Federal
Reserve Bank of St. Louis serves the Eighth Federal Reserve District,
which includes all of Arkansas, eastern Missouri, southern Indiana,
southern Illinois, western Kentucky, western Tennessee and northern
Mississippi. The St. Louis Fed is one of 12 regional Reserve Banks
that, along with the Board of Governors in Washington, D.C., comprise
the Federal Reserve System. As the nation's central bank, the Federal
Reserve System formulates U.S. monetary policy, regulates state-chartered
member banks and bank holding companies, and provides payment services
to financial institutions and the U.S. government.
