St. Louis Fed Promotes Dueker and Wall to AVP
ST. LOUIS, Mo.— The Research Division of the
Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis announced the following promotions:
Michael J. Dueker has been promoted to assistant vice president.
Dueker, who specializes in macroeconomics and econometrics, has
a bachelor of arts degree in mathematics from the University of
Oregon, a master's degree in economics from Northwestern University,
and a doctorate in economics from the University of Washington.
He has been with the Reserve Bank since 1991.
Howard J. Wall has been promoted to assistant vice president.
An expert in international and regional economics, Wall has a bachelor's
degree in economics from the State University of New York at Binghamton,
and master's and doctoral degrees in economics from the State University
of New York at Buffalo. Wall joined the St. Louis Fed in 1998.
With branches in Little Rock, Louisville and Memphis, the Federal
Reserve Bank of St. Louis serves the Eighth Federal Reserve District,
which includes all of Arkansas, eastern Missouri, southern Indiana,
southern Illinois, western Kentucky, western Tennessee and northern
Mississippi. The St. Louis Fed is one of 12 regional Reserve Banks
that, along with the Board of Governors in Washington, D.C., comprise
the Federal Reserve System. As the nation's central bank, the Federal
Reserve System formulates U.S. monetary policy, regulates state-chartered
member banks and bank holding companies, and provides payment services
to financial institutions and the U.S. government.
