St. Louis Fed Promotes Huang to Assistant Vice President
ST. LOUIS, Mo.— The Federal Reserve Bank of
St. Louis has promoted James L. Huang to assistant vice president.
Huang oversees commercial, Postal Money Order and U.S. Treasury
check processing. He was also recently named the Eighth District's
project manager for the software, hardware and operational changes
that will be required to support the introduction of "Check
21" legislation.
Huang joined the St. Louis Fed is 1996 as a management analyst.
He has a bachelor's degree in business administration from Washington
University in St. Louis and a master's degree in business from the
University of Florida.
With branches in Little Rock, Louisville and Memphis, the Federal
Reserve Bank of St. Louis serves the Eighth Federal Reserve District,
which includes all of Arkansas, eastern Missouri, southern Indiana,
southern Illinois, western Kentucky, western Tennessee and northern
Mississippi. The St. Louis Fed is one of 12 regional Reserve Banks
that, along with the Board of Governors in Washington, D.C., comprise
the Federal Reserve System. As the nation's central bank, the Federal
Reserve System formulates U.S. monetary policy, regulates state-chartered
member banks and bank holding companies, and provides payment services
to financial institutions and the U.S. government.
