St. Louis Fed Promotes North, Smith and Stierholz
ST. LOUIS, Mo. — The Federal Reserve Bank of
St. Louis announced the following promotions.
Allen North was promoted to officer in the
St. Louis Fed's Supervision & Regulation Division. He joined
the Reserve Bank in 1993 as an assistant examiner trainee. He
has a bachelor's degree in business administration from Murray
State University.
Scott B. Smith was promoted to officer in
the St. Louis Fed's Supervision & Regulation Division. He
joined the St. Louis Fed in 1993 as a safety and soundness examiner.
He has a bachelor's degree in journalism and a master's degree
in business administration, both from the University of Missouri-Columbia.
Kristina Stierholz has relocated from the Federal
Reserve Bank of Minneapolis to the St. Louis Fed and promoted
to officer in the latter's Supervision & Regulation Division.
She joined the Minneapolis Fed in 1999 as an attorney. Stierholz
has a bachelor's degree from Washington University in St. Louis
and a law degree from the University of Minnesota Law School.
With branches in Little Rock, Louisville and Memphis, the Federal
Reserve Bank of St. Louis serves the Eighth Federal Reserve District,
which includes all of Arkansas, eastern Missouri, southern Indiana,
southern Illinois, western Kentucky, western Tennessee and northern
Mississippi. The St. Louis Fed is one of 12 regional Reserve banks
that, along with the Board of Governors in Washington, D.C., comprise
the Federal Reserve System. As the nation’s central bank,
the Federal Reserve System formulates U.S. monetary policy, regulates
state-chartered member banks and bank holding companies, and provides
payment services to financial institutions and the U.S. government.
