Liz Deichmann

Senior Researcher

Liz Deichmann is a senior researcher on the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis’ Community Development Research team. Her work focuses on advancing the economic resilience and mobility of households and communities by understanding their access to financial products and services.

Before joining the St. Louis Fed, Deichmann partnered with governments and nonprofits to conduct participatory research and evaluate programs and policies. At the National Endowment for the Arts, she examined the impact of its American Rescue Plan grant program. She also researched a range of community development issues at the University of Missouri-St. Louis’ Community Innovation and Action Center and as an independent consultant.

Deichmann holds a doctorate in political science and a master’s degree in public policy administration from the University of Missouri-St. Louis. She has a bachelor’s degree in art history from Saint Louis University.
